Essential Oil Quick Reference Page
A quick reference of essential oils and their various uses in mainly aromatherapy. This list is far from complete but will give you a good basic knowledge essential oils.
Benzion* For bronchitis, coughs, sore throats, and stress laryngitis.
Bergamont* For abscesses, acne and breakouts, asthma, and boils.
Black Pepper* Used for arthritis, cramps, and chilblains.
Caraway* Good for flatulence.
Chamomile* Arthritis, heartburn, asthma, boils, chicken pox, colic, and cystitis.
Cinnamon* Is good for colds, and sniffles.
Clary Sage* Use for anxiety, depression, insomnia or when stress threatens.
Clove* For nausea, and cases of vomiting.
Cypress*Good for arthritis, fever, gout, hemorrhoids, and the urinary tract.
Eucalyptus* This great oil is good for a host of things including bronchitis, chicken pox, colds, cold sores, coughs, diarrhoea, fever, hay fever, the flu, shingles, and sinusitis.
Fennel* For colic, diarrhoea, gas, and fluid retention.
Frankincense* Good for bronchitis, asthma, and coughs do to dry throat or colds.
Geranium* Use for acne, depressions, menopause, and stress.
Ginger* Good for morning sickness, arthritis, and diarrhoea.
Jasmine* For stress, impotence, menopause, and psoriasis.
Juniper* Good for cramps,enlarged prostrate gland, fluid retention, and gout.
Lavender*Use for abscess, heartburn, acne, anxiety, arthritis, asthma, athlete's foot, bug bites, and stings, bruises, burns, cold sores, fainting, fever, flue, insomnia, and painful periods.
Lemon* Good for acne, cold sores, fluid retention, gout, flu, nosebleeds and sore throats.
Marjoram* For arthritis, constipation, coughs, cramps, insomnia, migraine, painful periods, poor circulation, rheumatism, and stress.
Mellisa* (Lemon Balm) Use for anxiety, hay fever, period pain, and irregularity.
Myrrh* Good for athlete's foot, bronchitis, mouth ulcers and thrush.
Neroli* For depression, fainting, impotence, menopause, psoriasis, and stress.
Use for colic, fainting, fever, gas, headache, migraine, morning sickness, vomiting and sinusitis.
Pine* Good for gout and hay fever.
Rose* For use against anxiety, eczema, irregular periods, menopause, stress and sunburns.
Rosemary* Use for arthritis, bruises, constipation, cramps, fainting, gout, and stress.
Sandalwood* Good to use for cystitis, impotence, laryngitis, and sunburns.
Tea Tree* Use for abscess, bites and stings, colds, cuts and scrapes, fever, flu, and whooping cough.
Thyme* For bronchitis, coughs, sore throats, and sinus troubles.
Ylang Ylang* Good for anxiety, impotence and stress related problems.
Wheatgerm* Use to treat sunburn.
