Let Yourself Heal Poem by Cheryl Culver

Image
Let yourself Heal By Cheryl Culver By the Light of the Sun, I will heal By the Light of the Moon, I will heal By the side of a river or waterfall, listen to the sounds of flowing water. Let the ocean waves, and flight of birds heal you as you enjoy the sounds. Heal yourself with lavender, mint and chamomile. Sweeten the soul within with stevia, cinnamon and orange peels. Stir up some tea, sweeten it with love and sip it while star gazing. Let the wind kiss you and rain wash away what needs to go. Ground yourself with feet planted on the ground, grow stronger as you spiral around. Let your intuition tell you which way to turn, be smarter, stay strong, grow each day. Move, sing, pray, meditate, live happy. The medicine is all around you, let it soak in. artist unknown

Hush Little Baby

Image
" "Hush Little Baby" Hush little baby don't you squall Momma's gonna buy you a crystal ball And if you still can't see beyond Momma's gonna buy you a magic wand And if that wand don't change your fate Momma's gonna teach you to levitate And if the astral makes you sick Momma's gonna buy you an incense stick And if that frankincense smells rank Mom'll buy a sensory deprivation tank And if that tank don't float your bones Momma's gonna buy you some some precious stones And if those gems don't ease your heart Momma's gonna buy you a natal chart And if your planets go berserk Momma's gonna buy you some bodywork And if your aura still needs kneading Momma's gonna buy you a past life reading And if your destiny stays hid Momma's gonna buy you a pyramid And if your chakras still feel stressed Momma's gonna take you on a vision quest And if power animals don't ...

I am a Wild Woman

Image
I am a Wild Woman I know, in spite of myself and in spite of what I've been told that there's beauty in every age no matter how old I am a Wild Woman I've learned what it means to be a life bearer to bear children to create art to plant seeds of Love I am a Wild Woman from the depths of the dirt underneath my fingernails to the height of my very Soul I am one with the Earth the winds from the four directions whisper through my skin I am a Wild Woman and the Spirit of every Wild Woman coalesces in me for we are each Wild Women and we are all the Spirit of the Wild Woman I will follow the voice in my Heart I am a Wild Woman I sing from my Heart I Dance with the Stars I howl at the Moon I Love uncontrollably I am a Wild Woman from the deepest, darkest, most Sacred part of me I am fearless I cry in Strength I open my arms to the sky and welcome the rain I am a Wild Woman I Nurture, Love and Pro...

THROUGH THE GATES

Image
The way was dark, lit by no stars, The Moon had hid her face, Faint wisps of fog trailed round my feet, I did not know this place. A bell rang out, it sounded twelve, I was quite mystified. ‘Twas midnight of All Hallows Eve How came I here?” I cried. Then as I looked, the fog dissolved, Revealing to my eyes A moonlit meadow bright as day And a beautiful surprise. For everywhere I looked I saw The Folk both fair and fey “Come dance with us,” they called to me, “Come join us while we play. “Come be with us, come dance with us “We’ll crown you this night’s queen, I started toward their company, The fairest I’d ever seen. “Be careful, Lass!” Who’s voice was this? “Should you join the dance, I fear, You’ll never more return to home, “And you’ll dwell forever here.” “I gazed into his blue, blue eyes, And saw what there did shine. My heart grew full, I fell in love, And wished he could be mine. His love enfolded me in bliss That filled my heart to stay N...

Do Not Stand At My Grave and Weep

Image
Do Not Stand At My Grave and Weep Do not stand at my grave ...and weep I am not there; I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow, I am the sun on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there; I did not die. by Mary Elizabeth Frye – 1932 a Baltimore housewife and florist, best known as the author of the poem "Do not stand at my grave and weep," written in 1932. She was born Mary Elizabeth Clark, and was orphaned at the age of three. In 1927 she married Claud Frye. The identity of the author of the poem was unknown until the late 1990s, when Frye revealed that she had written it. Her claim was later proven by Abigail Van Buren. Her poem was also used in one of the Norwegian protocols to express condolences ...

We Witches are Wonderful Things

To a Declining Sun: A Solitary Witch Honours the Season of the Falling Leaf Written by: Patricia Olson Now is the time of 'light in August,' The days drip with liquid gold, The flame-red God's prowess slowly weakens, And the caress of the gloaming enfolds... ...Like the touch of a dark, soft blanket, Ready to gather the Old King in its arms, That He may retire anon more early, And so enjoy the night time's charms. By day he still breathes a furious fire, Ripening grain and fruit and seed, So that with the coming of the autumn, The good, brown earth will have all She needs. Soon the Rowan will catch fire, And the leaves turn to russet and gold, There will be fowl suppers and fall fairs, And harvest tables with all they can hold. On an afternoon of amber and sapphire, The nutty scent of Mabon in the air, Through the ankle-deep leaves I will saunter, My dog-child and I an inseparable pair. Soon the season of dark w...

Samhain Chants,Poems and Songs

Samhain Chant -------------- Fire red, summer's dead Yet it shall return. Clear and bright, in the night, Burn, fire, burn! Chorus: Dance the ring, luck to bring, When the year's a-turning. Chant the rhyme at Hallows-time, When the fire's burning. Fire glow, vision show Of the heart's desire, When the spell's chanted well Of the witching fire. Chorus: Dance the ring, luck to bring, When the year's a-turning. Chant the rhyme at Hallows-time, When the fire's burning. Fire spark, when nights are dark Makes our winter's mirth. Red leaves fall, earth takes all, Brings them to rebirth. Chorus: Dance the ring, luck to bring, When the year's a-turning. Chant the rhyme at Hallows-time, When the fire's burning. Fire fair, earth and air, And the heaven's rain, All blessed be, and so may we, at Hallows-tide again. Chorus: Dance the ring, luck to bring, When the year's a-turning. Chant the rhyme at Hallows-t...

I love the dark hours of my being

Image
I love the dark hours of my being. My mind deepens into them. There I can find, as in old letters, the days of my life, already lived, and held like a legend, and understood.   Then the knowing comes: I can open to another life that's wide and timeless.   So I am sometimes like a tree rustling over a gravesite and making real the dream of the one its living roots embrace:   a dream once lost among sorrows and songs.   ~ Ranier Maria Rilke ~

Behold the Witch

Image
Behold the Witch, as strong as any man. Know the Witch, as she walks upon the land. Respect the Witch, her powers to beguile. Admire the Witch, her understanding smile. Honour the Witch, as pure as Mothers love. Applaud the Witch, as destiny she moves. Acclaim the Witch, as the future she designs. Envy the Witch, her patience over time. Regard the Witch, her inspiration deep. Commend the Witch, her family she keeps. Approve the Witch, as standards she up holds. Revere the Witch, her faith and will, extol. Appreciate the Witch, as nature she praises. Eulogize the Witch, as children she raises. Venerate the Witch, for she keeps the ancient lores. Become the Witch, and these values will be yours.... ~ author unknown ~
