The days before a New Moon are

good for being quiet and bringing things to a close. The days after the

New Moon are good for putting things into motion and starting new.

“The New Moon occurs when the Moon and the Sun are exactly conjunct in

the same sign. During the New Moon phase, the power and illumination of

the Sun literally makes the Moon invisible to our sight, and the Moon's

gravitational pull on the Earth is at its strongest. The New Moon is

the seed time when primal Earth energy is released and we are all

infused

with a new vitality. A seed is planted in the Earth without light so

that all its essence and potential becomes ready to freely, and without

thinking, grow to be itself. Without analysis, let yourself grow

upward.

This is a natural time to start new cycles and undertake new

challenges.

New Moon Sweeping Ritual

Before you begin add 3-6 drops of lavender oil to your broom. Sweep the front porch or the whole house, or maybe just the kitchen. If you're like me and do a lot of magick in the kitchen. Be positive and concentrate on removing negativity, dust, dirt and bad energies from your home for the coming lunar cycle. Be sure to do one sweep into your front door first, then sweep the rest of wherever you continue to sweep and move out the back door with the broom for good luck.

New Moon: Especially good for new beginnings, the New Moon can be used

for personal growth, healing, or the blessing of a new project or

venture. The results should come to completion by the first Full Moon.

The

dark of the moon, the three days before the New Moon, is a time when

the

moon cannot be seen at all. Traditionally, no magick is performed at

her magick is needed, this is the time. Goddesses: Artemis, Nimue,

HOW to set an intention for a new moon

1. Decide what you’ll do.

You can begin any project within the first two weeks after a new moon to take advantage of the rising energy of the moon moving from new to full.  This is known as the waxing period. Your project or task can be to learn something new, begin a book you’ve been meaning to read or to cultivate a new relationship. It can be a house project, a self-love project or a task to find a job that you love and brings your soul alive. It can be anything, big or small, taking just a few days to complete to spanning over a few years.

If you’ve been meaning to do something for a while, but have been holding back, procrastinating or stopping yourself because of a fear - it’s time to jump in with two feet now and make a commitment to new growth, rising and coming out of yourself. It’s time to stand up and move forward.

2. Make a list.

To make a commitment real, bring it outside of yourself into the physical world. Give your commitment, your intention, your goal and your task - a witness.

Write down or speak your intended start of your new project.

On a piece of paper, write down your goal, project or idea that you will be starting and commit to starting it with words. When you write down your project, write that you intend to begin working on it the minute the words hit the page, and then, fold up the paper.

If you choose to speak your new project for the new moon, give an object of the earth, such as a stone, a feather or a leaf the job of representing your project in the physical world. Have an object, such as your words on paper, or an earth object, that represents you creating your new project.

3. Deliver it to the flow of the earth.

The new moon energy is an opportunity for an idea, a drop within the ocean of the universe, to become a part of the Universal energy, the Universal flow. In a new moon ceremony, you are setting the goal that what was once an idea, is now becoming a part of this physical world and manifesting in time and space now. A seed is developing roots and a foundation, growing into a plant. Your project is also growing roots, right here on the physical earth.

To set your new moon intention, give your project a place in the earth and deliver it into the physical world. Even if you haven’t actually started yet, you can begin today - symbolically.

Place your paper with your idea on it or your earth-object representing your idea in alignment with the earth by releasing it into a stream of natural flowing water, or planting it in the soil, in the ground.

Release your idea into the earth and watch, as it becomes part of the Universe.

Once you have your idea, give it a tie to the physical earth by writing it down or assigning a piece of the earth the task of representing it. Then, release it into the Earth, symbolizing it’s new roots, new membership, as a growing, rising and energetically significant manifestation of the world.

with the new moon, you begin anew. you can start today.

The new moon is for starting new ventures, new beginnings.

Also love and romance, health or job hunting.

And many more custom spells made to order.

Everything around us reflects our inner Self. The moon gives us one such sign of the energy we can focus upon right now. New Moons are traditionally a time to end the unwanted and make positive new beginnings. These are the things you can practice for aligning yourself with the tide:

Peace and Protection: Meditate and feel total peace. Surround yourself with positive energy by visualizing a calm yet strong sheath of white light around you protecting you like a cocoon. Know that unwanted energy will bounce away from it while only good energy will filter into you.

Forgive and Release: Let go of all negativity, whether its anger, blame, guilt, fear, worry or sorrow. This might sound difficult but it is possible. Visualize that you are releasing all this negativity into earth who will transform it to positive energy. Strongly send all negative vibrations by feeling it releasing into earth. If you can feel and sense yourself lightening up with the unwanted flowing out of you, relaxing and feeling better – you have done it.

Bless your Ancestors: No moon and new moon nights are good for sending peace to departed souls. Think of them and wish them well in your mind. You can light a candle of your choice with an intention of sending them blessings and energy.

Cleanse and Purify: Your sacred and spiritual space can be cleansed with incense, rock-salt water and by visualizing light swiveling and cleansing the area. Take a cleansing bath with sea salts. Cleanse crystals and sacred tools or objects in a rock-salt water solution for an hour or as needed.

Set New Intentions: Make a list of new goals you wish to manifest. Let the universe know what is on your mind more clearly by setting targets for each thing. Let your dreams and wishes be transformed to intentions if you want them to start realizing. Light a candle of a color that feels positive to energize this list and imagine you have attained all your goals. You can place this under your pillow for a few nights and program your unconscious mind too. On full moon light them in a white candle and visualize them transformed into your set goals.
