THE SPELL:

You will need a long green cord and two small bells (check local 

hobby/craft stores for the little jingle bells). You will also need 5 

candle in the following colors: black/spirit, brown/earth, white/air, 

red/fire, blue/water. Finally, prepare an incense brazier or fire 

proof bowl with some or all of the following herbs: basil, bergamot, 

cinquefoil, rosemary. 

Helpful hint: practice tying the knots on another cord *before* 

attempting this spell. 

Light the incense and set it a bit away from where you will be 

working. Arrange the candles in a circle on a table top, altar or on 

the ground around where you are standing. The first candle should be 

black, then going clockwise: brown, white, red, blue. Light them in 

this order as well. 

Take your cord and hold it in both hands. Visualize money, success, 

health and happiness filling your life. Now you are going to tie 9 

knots into this cord, leaving room at each end to attach the bells. 

The order of the knots are as follows: 

Knot 1: Tie one knot near the left end of the cord (leaving plenty of 

room for the bells to be tied on later) 

Knot 2: Tie one knot near the right end of the cord (leaving plenty 

of room for the bells to be tied on later) 

Knot 3: Tie one knot halfway between knots 1 and 2 

Knot 4: Tie one knot halfway between knots 1 and 3 

Knot 5: Tie one knot halfway between knots 3 and 2 

Knot 6: Tie one knot halfway between knots 1 and 4 

Knot 7: Tie one knot halfway between knots 5 and 2 

Knot 8: Tie one knot halfway between knots 4 and 3 

Knot 9: Tie one knot halfway between knots 3 and 5 

Tie one bell tightly to each end. Do not cut off any excess cord. 

It should look like this: 

(bell)-----1---6---4---8---3---9---5---7---2------(bell)

Now, hold the knotted cord in both hands and again visualize money, 

success, health and happiness filling your life. Once you feel you 

have fully charged the cord with your energy (approximately 5 minutes 

of uninterrupted visualization) hold the cord by the bells and pass 

it quickly through the candle flame (don't let it burn) starting with 

the black one. As you pass it through repeat this phrase: 

Blessed Candle, Sacred spirit 

Charge this cord with your power. 

Pass the cord quickly through the brown candle flame and repeat: 

Blessed Candle, Sacred Earth 

Charge this cord with your power. 

Continue doing so until you have addressed all 5 elements and their 

corresponding candles. When you are done, snuff the candles out, and 

let the incense mixture burn out. Keep the cord with you at all 

times. I suggest either in your pocket, or tied around your wrist or 

ankle (if you do this, make sure that knot is made between the bells 

and the first and second knots. *NOT* anywhere else on the cord or 

you will disrupt the spell.
