Connecticut Witch Trials Book draws interest by many



I have this book in my wish list if anyone wants to gift me a copy!! I am looking forward to reading it

I love the history of our country, especially witch and ghost stories. I have traveled several states across the country and I search for history as I travel. Stopping by shops, hotels, parks, cemeteries, parks and streets of houses just to ponder and wonder of the past, the history and truth behind the places of our land.

Connecticut Witch Trials

Most everyone has read or heard of the Salem, Massachusetts witch trials of 1692 in colonial America, where 20 people (women and a couple men) thought to be ‘witches’ were put on trial and many put to death when found guilty. Yet, mostly unknown there were hundreds more from miles outside of Salem who were accused and spent time in jail before the hysteria ended. One of the most notorious of these “forgotten” witch incidents happened a generation before Salem in Hartford, Connecticut. Colonial Connecticut had a series of witch trials that were held between the 1640’s and 1690’s, though the last witch execution in Connecticut took place in 1662. In fact, of the thirty-five recorded witch trials in Connecticut during this time, eleven resulted in executions, which nearly equaled the Salem numbers.

I use this in recipes when I need some healing magick or just on it's own for real strength and healing. It is so good and so good for you. It takes awhile to peel all those garlic but it's well worth it, I separate each garlic into pieces and then I take a large knife and slightly smash each clove. makes it so much easier to peel each clove, I use each and every clove small and large and sperate them into the jar. Medicinal Pickled Garlic

With cold and flu season coming up soon once again I am thinking ahead this year so I am making some medicines to have ready to fight back fast. According to Gladstar’s book, “Garlic is the herb of choice in treating colds, flu, sore throats and poor or sluggish digestion… makes a potent internal and external antiseptic, antibacterial, and antimicrobial agent effective for treating many types of infection.” That is some powerful stuff!  There is much more information in the book, it is a wonderful addition to your homesteading or prepping library. Peeled garlic cloves (enough to fill a jar) Raw apple cider vinegar Raw Local Honey Fill a mason jar with garlic cloves; use any size jar you like.  Fill the jar with apple cider vinegar to cover the garlic completely.  Place the jar in a warm place for 3-4 weeks. Medicinal Pickled Garlic ~ After 3-4 weeks, strain off the liquid(this is when you will add the honey).   Set ½ the liquid aside to use as you wish.  Rosemary Gladst

A broom dropping in front of the door means company before the day is over. Always pick up, for luck, a broom that is lying on the floor or ground. Always sweep dirt out the back door or you will sweep away your best friend. Bad luck will befall  you all  year, if you sweep on New Year's Day. Burn up the rubbish when  you sweep on New Year's Day and  you will have money throughout the new year. Carry a broom under your arm for luck. Carrying a broom over your shoulder will give you bad luck. Do not sweep immediately after the departure of a guest or you will sweep him bad luck.
