Healing Chants and Prayers

Image
Affirmation from YOU CAN HEAL YOUR LIFE, Louise L. Hay "In the infinity of life where I am, all is perfect, whole, and complete. I no longer choose to believe in old limitations and lacks. I now choose to begin to see myself as the Universe sees me, perfect, whole, and complete. The truth of my Being is that I was created perfect, whole, and complete. I will always be perfect, whole, and complete. I now choose to live from this understanding. I am in the right place at the right time, doing the right thing. All is well in my world." *** Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being,  and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. Chant each day to help heal Remember to take a few moments to meditate A Healing Prayer Oh Great Goddess Mother of Mercy and Healing Send the energy of Hygeia to nourish from Her Sacred Bowl Send the energy of Brigid to heal with waters of Her Sac...

Goddess Dance

Image
The golden Moon waits for me, showing me the way  This way, that way, turning night into day  Shadows gray, keeping the dark at bay My path winds through trees that gently dip and sway In a circled meadow moonbeams play I dance round and round feeling  Through tiny marsh with waters spray I laugh and skip, feeling gay Lift my face to the sky and bray Oh Goddess I'm with You if I may So it has begun, it may never be done With Her I'll be one To dance through the beams A part of Her it seems I'm there and not, cool and hot Warm with love From around, inside, below and above For awhile I'm taken and given back Set upon my life track And as I go I hear whether far or near Gentle in my ear The sweet cooing of the dove And always know that I am loved Copyright 1999 Gerald L Whittaker **** She created us, and so we dance. She smiles down upon our dance. She grows happy becau...

Fire fair, earth and air, And the heaven's rain, All blessed be, and so may we, at Hallows-tide again. Chorus: Dance the ring, luck to bring, When the year's a-turning. Besom Chants

Image
Most covens start their rituals with a ritual sweep with their besom to begin the process of sweeping out negative energies and bringing in the good energies. This is part of creating sacred space. Many witches feel their besoms/brooms carry energies with it as well. I have several sacred besoms and feel they are full of energy from the many Circles they have been used to sweep with and simply by being in ritual with me. I have one particular besom hanging in my moon/sun room which I purchased in Salem, Massachusetts and when I pass it each day, I actually chat to it and touch it. It is very special to me and very magickal from the energies it picked up with its stay in Salem. We Witches are weird lots, I must say! I have another besom which has been with me during my days as a Handmaiden to my High Priestess in a Wiccan coven and through my degrees of elevation. There are a lot of witches who feel that the besom is just as sacred or more sacred than some of their tools. After a...

Autumn Blessing

Image
On this day of balance—between hot and cold, light and dark—we can find balance in an autumnal blessing. Use a white and a black candle, placed side by side, for this ritual. Breathe in the glow that comes from the equal balance of day and night. Decorate your sacred space with fruits and grain and harvest leaves, as you slowly speak this verse: Protection covers me and mine, Abundant gifts grow from Nature divine. Mabon comes with balance dear, The second such time of the year. Second harvest abundance flows, Through our labor the storehouse grows. We fill our stores through harvest Moon, For winter’s cold is coming soon. Harvest brings both hope and fear, Harder times are drawing near. Bless this house with abundance clear, And bless all who are dwelling here. Strength of the cycles For all to see, Bringing color to land and tree. Red, yellow, brown, and amber, Dress the forests, preparing for slumber. My spirit embrace the dwindling light, I am ready now for the longer night...

Charge of the God

Charge of the God Listen to the word of the Great Father, who of old was called Osiris, Adonis, Zeus, Thor, Pan, Cernunnos, Heren, Lugh, and by many other names: "My law is harmony with all things. Mine is the secret that opens the gate of life and mine is the dish of salt of the earth, that is the body of cernunnos, that is the eternal circle of rebirth. I give the knowledge of life everlasting, and beyond death, I give the promise of regeneration and renewal." Listen to the words of the God, who is son, brother, lover, and consort of the lady: "I am the sacrifice, the father of all things, and my protection blankets the earth. I am the fleet deer in the forest, I am the beach which receives waves. I am the sun which warms the earth. I am the Lord of the spiral dance of life, death, and rebirth, the gentle reaper, the winter stag, and the spring fawn. All things are of me, for I am the Goddess, opposite, yet not opposing." "I am fertility, the spre...

The Law of Power

The Law of Power The Power shall not be used to bring harm, to injure or control others. But if the need arises, the Power shall be used to protect your life or the lives of others. The Power is used only as need dictates. The Power can be used for your own gain, as long as by doing so you harm none. It is unwise to accept money for use of the Power, for it quickly controls its taker. Be not as those of other religions. Use not the Power for prideful gain, for such cheapens the mysteries of Wicca and magic. Ever remember that the Power is the sacred gift of the Goddess and God, and should never be misused or abused. And this is the Law of the Power.

Charge of the Dark Goddess

Charge of the Dark Goddess I am the darkness behind and beneath the shadows, I am the absence of air that awaits at the bottom of every breath. I am the ending before life begins, decay that fertilizes living. I am the bottomless pit, the never-ending struggle to reclaim that which is denied. I am the key that unlocks every door. I am the glory of discovery, for I am that which is hidden, secluded and forbidden. Come to me at the dark moon and see that which cannot be seen, face the terror that is yours alone. Swim to me through the blackest oceans, to the center of your greatest fears - The Dark God and I will keep you safe, scream to us in terror, and yours will be the power to forbear. Think of me when you feel pleasure, and I will intensify it, until the time when I may have the greatest pleasure of meeting you at the crossroads between the worlds.

THE WITCHES' CREED

THE WITCHES' CREED Hear now the words of the Witches, The Secrets we hid in the night, When dark was our destiny's pathway, That now we bring forth into light. Mysterious water and fire, The earth and the wide-ranging air, By hidden quintessence we call them, And will, and keep silent, and dare. The birth and rebirth of all nature, The passing of winter and spring, We share with the life universal, Rejoice in the magical ring. Four times in the year the Great Sabbat Returns, and the witches are seen At Lammas and Candlemas dancing, On May Eve and old Hallowe'en. When day-time and night-time are equal, When sun is at greatest and least, The four Lesser Sabbats are summoned, And Witches gather in feast. Thirteen silver moons in a year are, Thirteen is the coven's array. Thirteen times at Esbat make merry, For each golden year and a day. The power that was passed down the age, Each time between woman and man, Each century unto the other, 'Ere time and the ...
