Jet Stone

Image
Jet is commonly used as a stone of protection, yet it also carries some wonderful healing properties, including pain relief for headaches/migraines and enhanced healing of traumatic injuries. Working almost like an energetic filter, Jet is a wonderful grounding stone that has intense purification and protection properties. Jet is known for clearing the aura of impure energies and is an important stone for the medicine bag. Jet can be used to cleanse other crystals by placing them in a bowl with several smaller pieces of Jet. Jet can also be helpful for those experiencing an overabundance of negative energies or emotions, and has traditionally been used as a stone to alleviate grief. Not only does it draw off negative vibrations, but Jet can help the victim of these vibes to understand their original purpose and the lesson to be learned. Sensitives or empaths who suffer from exposure to negativity in the environment should carry a piece of Jet with them while exposed. Jet is know

The Witches Alphabet

Image
The Theban Alphabet also known as the Witches Alphabet or the Runes of Honorius Calling this alphabet runic is erroneous - runes are straight-edged - and there's no evidence of this system being associated with witches before the 20th century. How old it really is is unknown. It is first mentioned in Cornelius Agrippa's Three Books of Occult Philosophy published in Antwerp in 1531, attributing them to one "Honorius of Thebes." This is assumed to be reference to the author of Liber Juratus, or the Sworne Booke of Honorius, yet the letters never appear in the the Liber Juratus. If the alphabet is his, it apparently appeared in a work that no longer exists. (The better-known Grimoire of Honorius is a 17th-century forgery) The character for "W" shown below is not part of the original alphabet. Indeed, the absence of unique characters for "J", "U" and "W" indicate a possible connection with the pre-11th centur

30 Things to Stop Doing to Yourself.

#1. Stop spending time with the wrong people. – Life is too short to spend time with people who suck the happiness out of you.  If someone wants you in their life, they’ll make room for you.  You shouldn’t have to fight for a spot.  Never, ever insist yourself to someone who continuously overlooks your worth.  And remember, it’s not the people that stand by your side when you’re at your best, but the ones who stand beside you when you’re at your worst that are your true friends. #2. Stop running from your problems. – Face them head on.  No, it won’t be easy.  There is no person in the world capable of flawlessly handling every punch thrown at them.  We aren’t supposed to be able to instantly solve problems.  That’s not how we’re made.  In fact, we’re made to get upset, sad, hurt, stumble and fall.  Because that’s the whole purpose of living – to face problems, learn, adapt, and solve them over the course of time.  This is what ultimately molds us into the person we become. #3

Candle burning tips and Advanced Guide

Image
Candle burning tips If you have any experience with candles, you will know of those that smoke or tunnel and drown. This is not because you have purchased cheap candles. What I mean by that is that it smokes, tunnels, or the wick drowns in its own wax. All of these scenarios can be avoided by properly burning your candle and maintaining them between burns. A candle that smokes would be the problem we would tackle first. With all the different types of ingredients, all candles differ by a great deal. They all have different waxes, wicks, additives, dyes and colorants, and fragrances (natural and synthetic). Each concoction would make a different type of candle. Despite what you have heard, all candles will smoke if not maintained properly, yes even the popular natural soy candles or white unscented candles. Black soot can not be a problem if you cut the wick before each burn with a wick trimmer. Cut your wick to a quarter of an inch before you light it, and do this every time.
