An All-Purpose Candle Spell Preparations

You'll need at least one candle of the appropriate color, one holder, any appropriate scented oil to anoint the candle.  Your Bolline to carve your needs into the candle, or a tool that will carve symbols, names etc in each candle for the purpose of the spell.
Always bless the candle by first starting at the middle of the candle with oil on you power hand (the hand you write with is your power hand) and rub the candle down towards earth in a clockwise direction, thinking of grounding it, then from the center of the candle down to center, to let the goddess and gods hear your needs and draw power down to you, clockwise always for positive work.
To work spells for removing negativity, banishments, ridding things from your life; rub the candle from the center outward in both directions, and counterclockwise to repell negativity, to banish what you need to banish
When you're ready to begin, hold the candle between the palms of your
hands.
Breathe deeply. Visualize your goal. Push personal, programmed power into
the candle between your hands.
Feel the energy streaming into it. Say appropriate words if you wish
simply
stating what you need to occur.

Place the candle in its holder.

Strike a match or use a long lighter, I keep one of these on my altar, above the candle and draw down the flame toward the candle.

Light the wick.

Put the still-flaming match into a heat-proof container (or extinguish its
flame with a quick flip of the wrist).

Hold your hands around the candle's flame. Feel the energy. Visualize
strongly.
You may now proceed with your spell-work, stay with the circle until you feel it has set the spell, then open circle if you
called one.

Leave the area. Let the candle do its work.

If you make a candle with intent, then that candle is for that purpose.Even
if you take old wax, you are remaking that wax into something to fit your
intent. You can add scented oils or even better, essential oils or herbs to
them to fit your purpose. If you want another candle that makes you feel
better on a bad day, then find a scent that makes you feel good, find an
herb that calms you, and make that candle, alone, by itself, rather than in
a pot where you're also making the candles you want to use in case the
electricity goes out. That's where magick comes from: intent. Most people
who burn candles daily do so because it does something for them. It's
invigorating, relaxing, whatever. There is no reason you shouldn't take a
candle that does that for you and make it do *more* of the same. And you can
certainly reuse wax that you have used on a spell, unless it is a spell that
was negative or banishing. In that case I usually bury the wax or make a
sachet out of it and put it away. Positive energy can be reused. Negative
should be put away. That's my rule of thumb. But you can cleanse old spell
candles and then charge them once they're remade.
