The HERB Mint as Incense

Mint Incense

Mint refers to any herb in the Mentha family. There is a wide variety of species in the genus. From water mint to spearmint, to pennyroyal, the mint family has many medicinal, culinary, and magickal uses.

Peppermint is used for nausea, morning sickness and other gastric complaints as well as a treatment for colds and other respiratory illnesses; horsemint can be used externally for skin issues and dandruff; ginger mint is good for relieving spasms. On the culinary side, mint can be used for making tea, flavoring tea, used as a basting brush, and flavoring various fruits and veggies … especially in salads. This versatile herb definitely deserves some exploring.

Magickally, mints are used in healing charms and mixtures. It also works well in travel spells. Because of its bright green color, mint is used in money and prosperity workings too. Use to call good spirits to be present and aid in your magickal rituals. Grow some in a pot to keep in your home for protection.

Mint essential oil, a top note, blends well with cedarwood, cypress, and pine; florals such as lavender, palmarosa, and geranium; citrus scents including grapefruit, lemon, lime, and bergamot. You might want to try other herbal scents like oregano, rosemary, and marjoram.
